We were looking for an original artwork for our dining room, a statement piece that would reflect our goal for the space: somewhere we can gather with friends and family for community, connection, great food and fun. When I was looking online for an Austin-based artist and saw Ahn Hee’s website, I was immediately smitten. I reached out not knowing how a commission would really work or when I’d hear back. Ahn Hee’s quick response and initial communication were just a taste of the amazingly positive collaboration ahead. We met via Zoom and talked about our family, our travels, our inspiration, our color palette preferences. She took the time to listen and translate our story in such a beautiful way. Throughout the process, Ahn Hee kept that collaborative approach going through regular communications, previews, and a feedback loop. She is as kind as she is talented. We feel connected to the art and to Ahn Hee as the artist and will treasure this artwork. To say that we are in love with our piece is an understatement. We highly recommend Ahn Hee and would work with her again in a heartbeat.

I worked with Ahn Hee on our first ever commissioned painting for my husband and I, and she blew it out of the water!
